Family Owned and Operated
Since 1996
Delaney’s Wood Fired Maple Syrup is a first-generation maple syrup shack rooted in Rose City, MI, where tradition, family, and hard work run deep. What began in 1996 as a small hobby for Sean Delaney, tapping trees in the same maple grove the Delaney family has owned since 1890, has grown into something truly special. Sean first set out to teach his sons the value of dedication through this hands-on family project, and today, he’s passing those same lessons down to his grandchildren on that very same land.
What started as a small shed with a single evaporator has transformed into a thriving, state-of-the-art operation with over 2,100 taps and counting. Our sugar shack features a welcoming storefront, a dedicated evaporator room, expanded storage, and a beautiful commercial kitchen designed by our late Mae Lynn Delaney.
That kitchen is more than just a space; it’s her legacy. It’s where her creativity lives on through every recipe she crafted. From our barbecue sauces and meat rubs to roasted nuts, caramel corn, and other maple confections, her influence is in every bite. She was brilliant and beautiful, and we honor her in everything we do.
Today, we offer a wide variety of maple products, including three different grades of Pure Michigan Maple Syrup, along with infused favorites like bourbon, vanilla, and cinnamon.
We’re proud to share our story and our process. We welcome you to experience it with free tours by appointment.
